With such a positive economic forecast, a low-cost of living, and the exceptional quality of life that a smaller community has to offer, is clear why companies around the country choose to relocate their offices and/or open new offices in various areas.

From business licenses, operating costs, including leasing an office space are some of the operating expenses the company will endure and have to face. As the Economy in the United States declines reorganizing and moving are some of the options companies are entertaining. These changes have initiated business to relocate with the understanding their overall expenses and bottom dollar will be beneficial for their overall budget projections.

How difficult would it be to relocate an office of 20? Maybe a new office building is offering a 5-year lease with no deposit and option to buy more space? Relocating to the burbs would save large companies thousands of dollars a month if relocation were an option. However in some cases it may not be conducive to their product and services.

During the 90’s dot.com era companies were mushrooming out of control. The inner city warehousing districts in San Francisco become the downtown hip market to be in. Leases were cheap and space was abundant. As the trends of moving grew into inner cities across America most high tech companies were leading the pack. If a small business chose carefully enough, the business could benefit more from the regentri-fication and rejuvenation of a particular new area, as its popularity grew. As a Business Relocation Consultant these tasks and niche markets were their bread and butter.

Some deciding factors and the knowledge of how a business operates along with all the options from one state or another have been Midas to companies. Consultants who specialize in International relocation efforts have been sought after due to there first hand knowledge of how that country operates; therefore their knowledge of that countries economy came into play.

As evidence of the new high rise in companies relocating, in early 2003-2004 as companies grew, a giant telecommunications company announced it would have a new calling center this alone brought more than 1,000 new jobs to that city.

Once a company is ready to explore the overwhelming potential that awaits them in any area by opening a new company or relocating, some basic questions would arise from:
  • Is the office within buildings or in the Metropolitan area?
  • Intrastate and Interstate office moving
  • Destination services
  • Expense tracking and management
  • Warehousing distribution and installation of new furniture
  • Commercial packing & unpacking including libraries and file areas using mobile carts
  • Storage of office furniture and business records
  • Outsourcing of your relocation
  • Data processing relocation utilizing air ride suspension vans
  • Furniture space planning
  • Tagging & labeling furniture
  • Hotel & motel installation
  • Hospital & laboratory relocation
  • Move Planning
As a Consultant in this field one must acquire knowledge of logistics, governmental issues regarding that particular state and much more. Salaries will range from state to state and size of company. However it is safe to say salaries will range from $65,000 per year when working full time at a large corporation or per project.
