DecisionPath Consulting appoints David Bloom as director
DecisionPath Consulting, a leading business-driven business-intelligence, performance-management, and data-warehousing enterprise, has appointed David Bloom as its new director of commercial consulting. Bloom has had 21 years of experience in IT consulting. In his new position, he will supervise the continuous growth of the consulting firm's business-intelligence and information-strategy potentials among clients belonging to the private sector. Prior to joining DecisionPath, Bloom served Wipro Technologies' consulting services group as the practice leader for information strategy and architecture.

Management-consulting and strategic-branding firm Concept Group USA recently launched a fully interactive and completely overhauled website. The site exhibits Concept Group's exclusive brand story and guarantee. It also provides pro bono, practical-advice white papers for large and small service-oriented businesses. The website will not only pass on information to customers and probable partners, but it will also act as a checkpoint for essential information related to periodically updating operators. The firm's new creative director, Brian Corrigan, is credited for the website's innovative look. Concept Group is expanding its branding and re-branding practice for corporations, retailers, organizations, and small businesses. With offices in Washington, DC, and New England, Concept Group is likely to add full-service, in-house design to its offerings.
Slalom Consulting named one of Washington's "Best Companies to Work For"
Washington CEO magazine has named Slalom Consulting, a national business and technology consulting firm, one of the "Best Companies to Work For." More than 200 Northwestern companies were nominated in the category. The extensive assessment consisted of surveys of both staff and management and an evaluation by eminent HR professionals. Washington CEO magazine publishes 13 issues annually covering business, industry, and public policy matters influencing the state's economy. It will publish all of its rankings in its July issue. Headquartered in Seattle and known as a "consultant's consulting firm," Slalom offers services ranging from business process improvement to software development as well as specific solutions such as Sarbanes-Oxley, CRM, and ERP solutions.
Watson Wyatt acquires WisdomNet
Leading global consulting firm Watson Wyatt Worldwide has acquired WisdomNet, a Denver-based firm. The firm is a talent-management solution and consulting firm. The acquisition will help Watson Wyatt meet clients' increasing demands for talent-management services. WisdomNet's business software products provide total solutions for managing organizations' talent-management processes. These products will also complement Watson Wyatt's compensation-management, benefit-administration, and performance-review solutions. Watson Wyatt partners with leading global organizations to assist them with personnel and financial issues. The firm assists companies with managing cost-effectiveness of employee benefit programs, advises companies on pension plans, and provides financial advice to financial-services and insurance companies.
Herrenkohl starts new consulting firm
A new environmental and engineering consulting firm, Herrenkohl Consulting, LLC, has been established by Mark Herrenkohl. Herrenkohl, a licensed engineering geologist from Washington, has had about 20 years' experience in environmental-site characterization, engineering geology, feasibility studies, and geochemistry. He has also managed and served as the scientist for environmental studies and projects across the U.S., including several in the Bellingham, WA, area. Herrenkohl has expertise in designing and conducting field investigations and laboratory bench-scale studies. These studies are conducted for evaluation of site-specific chemical behavior, ecological risk assessment, and evaluation of proposed remediation and restoration strategies.
