Foreign students are part of this changing ethnic barrier we face today in this field. It also needs to be said that American students are opting to complete a year of studies abroad, whether to enjoy and learn from a different culture to learning their language and local federal requirements to work in that country. Therefore, as an International Studies Consultant the primary function will be assisting international students entering the American Education system, including their involvement with American students entering a foreign school system. Thus, as a consultant one must be well versed in the customs, languages including visa procedures in order to better assist their students.

However, as challenging as the job may be, the fruits of their labor are more than enough to compensate for the hardship. As a Consultant in this field the competition has been pushed up a notch. Having the capacity to juggle more than one student will be noticed and compensated. A Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a few years as a Guidance counselor is highly advised.
