Retirement Planning & Sales Consultant - (50% travel and remote)
This position will serve as a retirement planning and wealth management expert for Financial Advisors by presenting educational presentations, be an extension of the Advisors practice and provide support aimed specifically at increasing product sales. Serve as a source for information and strategies for individual retirement accounts and wealth management cases. Provide information to the FID leadership, sales team and financial Advisors about developments, changes and opportunities within the financial landscape.
Location - MUST be near an international hub (Chicago, Twin Cities, Atlanta, etc)

Be a voice in the field and industry for CUNA Mutual Annuity Solutions on retirement planning by presenting seminars, workshops, staff referral training for financial Advisors, presenting at B/D conferences, cluster meetings, industry meetings & providing CECs for Advisors.
Work closely with the product leadership to research, analyze and report on the state of the retirement planning and wealth management landscape
Serve as the subject matter expert for:
Advisors and Wholesalers preparing detailed retirement income plans including IRAs (traditional & Roth), 401(k), 457, SEP, SIMPLE, Keogh, and non-qualified plans;
Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid;
Wealth Transfer & Charitable Planning
Review of wealth management cases.
Provide leadership for quarterly training webinars.
Included is the selection of topics, scheduling of subject matters to present, and facilitation of the webinars and execution of the overall strategy.
Create and deliver sales and advance planning ideas to sales team & Advisors for them to use with clientele.

List of general education, background and experience, knowledge, skills and abilities typically required to effectively perform the responsibilities of the job. Also include any required licenses and/or designations.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Management or other related field or trade off in related professional experience.
5-7 years of experience in the Retirement Services and Wealth Management industry, including retirement plan design, administration, annuities, tax regulations, wealth management planning techniques, marketing and federal regulations.
Professional designation in the retirement planning and wealth management fields – Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CFPC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and/or degree from the American College.
Resident Life & Health and Variable license and FINRA Securities Industry Essentials Exam, Series 7 and 65/66 are required.
Demonstration of effective communication and sales skills to work closely with financial representatives.
Demonstration of dynamic, high impact & effective public speaking skills and training skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
Position may require the ability to travel up to 50% of the time to present Seminars, Workshops, Sales Meeting & B/D Conferences and deliver CECs.
